I just can't do it. I can't take the advice of friends who have found success or the random people who I've talked to at parties that are trying to give me love advice. I can't get on-line and post a picture of myself, list wonderful qualities I possess, and then pick the qualities I want in a mate. It just seems so crazy. The internet seems like the perfect venue to look for a job. I think moster.com and many of the other websites are great ways to advertise and search for new careers. But is the internet really the place to look for new love? I don't know, maybe it is. But maybe it isn't. Maybe we have made finding a relationship too process oriented and lost the "I saw her from across the room and I just knew". No one believes in "fate" or "love at first site" anymore, because they have been told by Neil Warren of e-harmony and Dr. Phil of match.com that in order to find true love you must pay $19.99 a month and follow a certain step process. But then again, what do I know...maybe there is money to pay and steps to take for a relationship? Maybe love at first site happens now on-line instead of from across the room?
